Pattern of ICAR Agriculture Assistants 2014 Exam:
Selection process for ICAR Agriculture Assistants consists of two written test - Prelims (200 marks) & Mains (200 marks). The Preliminary exam is of Objective type and is conducted ONLINE. The Mains exam is on the other hand of Descriptive type.
ICAR Agriculture Assistants Preliminary exam is for screening purpose only. The final merit list is prepared based on the performance in the 200 marks Mains exam only.

The 100 question, 200 marks Prelims exam is for duration 2 hours.
There is negative marking in ICAR - One mark will be deducted for each two wrong answers.

As you can find in the above exam pattern for ICAR Agriculture Assistants, there is no paper for specialization (i.e. Agriculture). The weight is on three areas - English language, GK & Aptitude.
However point to note is that the Preliminary exam would be conducted online! So those of you who have never appeared in Online tests, it would be essential for you to have some experience on a real online test environment.
