 For those of you engineering students who wants to pursue PhD program after completing your BE/B.Tech, there is a good news - CSIR-NET December, 2012 exam would be conducted with a special sixth paper in engineering sciences for you!
As per the notification, following would be the eligibility for engineering graduates to pursue PhD through CSIR-NET:
For general/OBC: Minimum 55% in BE, B.Tech or equivalent engineering graduation exam.
For SC/ST,PH: Min. 50% in above qualifying exam.
Final year engineering students would also be eligible to appear in CSIR-NET Dec 2012 for Engineering.
The syllabus and sample paper of CSIR-NET Dec 2012 for Engineering will be uploaded in this CSIR-NET website by August, 2012
Exam notification for CSIR-NET Dec 2012 has still not come out but is expected to come out within a week or two. I am going to update this blog when the exam notification comes up.
