This blog post is being made to provide you the Prep materials for RPSC LDC exam 2013:  the Syllabus, Sample Papers & Books along with a discussion on the Exam Pattern/Format. Prior to it another article titled: RPSC LDC Recruitment Exam 2013 Notification, Form & Eligibility to help you apply for this exam.

In the very outset, let me tell you that materials available on the net for RPSC LDC exam is very rare - almost non-existent. Therefore, your preparation plan for RPSC LDC exam should be based on similar exams for clerks, which needs same eligibility as the RPSC exam - i.e. Senior Secondary Pass (or Class-XII pass).

There are two such popular exams: one conducted by SSC for selection of DEO (Data Entry Operator) & LDC, called SSC CHSL Exam while the other is bank clerk exam conducted by IBPS for all the public sector banks in India, called IBPS CWE (Common Written Exam) for Clerk.

While you can use the prep materials of SSC CHSL exam readily for RPSC LDC Exam, IBPS CWE Clerk exam is a little different in pattern/format and is also more competitive. But to get an edge over your competitor, you can use the prep materials for IBPS CWE Clerk also.

With this understanding, let us know what is the pattern/format of RPSC LDC Exam.

RPSC LDC Exam Pattern:

There are two phases of RPSC LDC Exam - Phase-I is an Aptitude Test while Phase-II is a skill test.

Phase-I of RPSC LDC Exam consists of two test sections, each having 150 Objective type questions for 100 mark, to be answered in 3 hours. Thus total mark in Phase-I is 200 marks. While the first paper of Phase-I consists of questions from GK, Science and Maths, Second Paper is a test of your language knowledge -  in which 75 questions would be asked each in Hindi & English.

Phase-II of RPSC LDC Exam on the other hand consists of skill test of your typing skill - in Hindi & English. Phase-II is not conducted for Person with disabilities they will be given the average marks obtained by them in Phase-I.
