Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has published the advertisement for recruitment of Executive Trainee (ET) through GATE 2015. Selection Process for  Power Grid GATE 2015 Recruitment:

Merit List for selection of Executive Trainee in PGCIL would consists of GATE 2015 Score and GD/Interview. Post announcement of the result, your score would be obtained by Power Grid directly from GATE 2015 authority (i.e. corresponding to your GATE registration number), decide the cut-off and shortlist the candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

There after following the weightages would be used to decide the final merit list of PGCIL:
GATE 2015 score: 85%; Group Discussion 3%; Personal Interview 12%.

But in PGCIL Interview following qualifying marks have ben kept:
Unreserved 40%; OBC (NCL) 30%; SC/ST /PwD: 30%

Power Grid ET Salary:

Salary offered by PGCIL to Executive Trainee (ET) is in Pay-Scale of Rs. 24,900 - 50,500/= with other benefits. 

With this, approximate CTC in PGCIL for ET is as follows:
During Training: Rs. 7.78 lakhs
After Training: Rs. 13.95 lakhs

Eligible branches for  PGCIL GATE 2015 Recruitment:

Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Information Technology and Civil Engineering

Electrical Engineering includes Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering While Computer Science includes Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology.

The qualification should be a full time regular B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized Indian University/ Institute approved by AICTE OR AMIE (enrolled before 31.03.2013).

Minimum qualifying mark is: 65% marks or equivalent grade.
Maximum age (as on 31.12.2014): 28 years.

Final Year students can also apply provided their results are declared by 14.08.2015.

You have to appear in following GATE 2015 paper corresponding to your qualifying discipline to take part in this Power Grid recruitment process:
EE, CS & CE.
